Seventy-Five Former NFL Players Sue Over Concussions |
July 20, 2011 -- Claiming the NFL knew as early as the 1920's that concussions were harmful to players' brains, seventy-five former players are suing the league for unspecified damages, according to ESPN.
ESPN
reports,
"'The
plaintiffs
claim
that
"
...until
June
of
2010
they
concealed
these
facts
from
coaches,
trainers,
players
and
the
public.'
All
of
the
plaintiffs
have
suffered
from
multiple
concussions.
Helmet
manufacturer
Riddell
is
also
named
in
the
lawsuit.
